Enrollment Process

Southern Avenue Charter Elementary School (SACS) is a tuition-free public charter school.  Thank you for considering SACS for your child’s elementary academic journey.  Take a virtual tour.

Please find the steps below for the application process:

Step 1:

Complete the Intent to Enroll Form

Step 2:

Parent and student interview with a SACS Administrative Representative

When scheduling the interview please bring one of the following documents: student’s original birth certificate; student’s original SSC; student’s original immunization records;  report cards (incoming grades 1-5); parent/guardian photo ID; 2 proofs of residency; TCAP Scores (incoming 3rd-5th)

Step 3

Complete Registration*

During the interview please allow approximately 2 hours. The interview will begin with the parent, scholar candidate, and SACS Administrator.  Afterward the parent is dismissed for a few minutes.  The scholar will have an individual interview.  Afterward, the family takes a tour of the SACS Community.  Please call the school to schedule your interview at 901-743-7335 or 901-743-9560.
